Yoga Nidra

The Art of Deep Inner Relaxation

Let go. Dive in. Awaken.

Feeling constantly stressed or tense has unfortunately become a way of life for many. Chances are you're experiencing this right now - in your body, your mind, your heart - as modern life demands so much from us every single day. Yoga Nidra offers a rare space where you can let go of everything that burdens you and see yourself clearly.

Come unwind and experience a level of relaxation the day-to-day simply cannot offer. This is where your journey back to yourself begins.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra – often called "yogic sleep" or NSDR (non-sleep deep rest) protocol – is a systematic deep relaxation technique that goes far beyond ordinary relaxation. It guides you on an inward journey, into a state between waking and sleep where you access unconscious levels, begin to transform your nervous system, your soul, and your entire being – effortlessly. Unlike traditional yoga, the focus here is not on movement, but on directing consciousness. All you need to do is lie comfortably and follow my voice.

The Deeper Dimension of Yoga Nidra

This practice is more than just relaxation. It is a gateway to your true self. With regular practice, your potential unfolds – step by step. You begin to detach from your thoughts, emotions, and physical tensions. You recognize what truly defines you – beyond stress, roles, or conditioning.

Yoga Nidra acts like a reset –

physically, emotionally, and mentally

Yoga Nidra is for you if

you regularly experience stress

you have sleep disturbances or inner restlessness

you have a creative mind seeking access to your inner world

you are spiritually curious

you wish to transform on a deeper level

How does a Yoga Nidra session look like?

Each step follows a specific sequence designed to activate your inner energy flow and release deeply rooted patterns.

Setting the Intention (Sankalpa)

You find a heartfelt intention – a seed you wish to plant. You set it at the beginning and you revisit it at the end of the practice.

Body Journey (Awareness Circuit)

You move your awareness through a guided “scan” of parts of your body following a fixed sequence for tangible relaxation.

Perception of Opposites

You experience the opposite feelings of heavy and light, warm and cold, joy and pain to harmonize your nervous system.

Breath Awareness & Prana Direction

You observe your breath - naturally.

This creates a new flow of vital life energy.

Visualisation & Symbol Work

You use inner images like keys to the unconscious to help you resolve issues.

Returning & Integration

You gently return to waking consciousness – refreshed, connected, and clear.

What You Need to Know Around a Session

Up to 2 hours before, don't eat anything heavy

If you are doing Yoga Nidra on your own, make sure the space you are in is neither bright, nor completely dark

Yoga Nidra is best done lying down; if you are quite tired, you can do it sitting/ do a few asanas or take a shower beforehand

Have a blanket next to you or dress warner since the body's temperature tends to drop during the practice

If you need a pillow, make sure it's a flat one (or a flat folded blanket)

Ideally, think of your intention (Sankalpa) before the session; this should be formulated positively and in the present tense; make sure it's the same one for every practice
